Here we are two days away from surgery. A plethora of people have sent cards, called and emailed/Facebooked to let us know of their prayers and thoughts. You will never know what that means to Christi and I. As I sit here and write this update, Ivi Grace is walking around our house, making noise on a kazoo and getting into what she can. I love it! I know that in a just a few days, her eyes will be swollen shut and she won’t even be able to see, crawl, walk or even get out of the hospital baby bed. I’m enjoying these precious moments with her. So is Christi. She has on shoes that squeak when she walks and it is the coolest sound...with each step...squeak, squeak. Really funny and cute.
We will be leaving this Wednesday morning to drive to Charlotte for her surgery, which is at 1:30 p.m. We need to be at the hospital around 10 a.m. at the earliest, so there is no need to go the night before. Once there, admission, pre-op, surgery and then a week long stay. A couple of nights in ICU for Ivi Grace, a regular room for a few days, then hopefully home. Christi and I have been approved to stay at the Ronald McDonald House right down the street from the hospital. It is less than a year old and quite nice. However, I doubt we will be hanging around there much...just when we really need to go crash for a few hours.
I am planning on updating this blog everyday for those who want to know how things are going. That’s my plan at least.
Thanks again for everything all you have done for us. We love you!
