It’s official. I am slacker concerning this blog and updates. The last three months have been an emotional recovery for us and the motivation to write wasn’t really there. I apologize to those who have been anxious to know what is going on and haven’t had any news. I will endeavor to do better in the days to come.
Ivi Grace is doing well. Many times, children that face what she is going through have developmental issues. However, she seems to be, for the most part, ahead of the curve. She is smart as a whip and impresses us daily with her brain power. (must take after her mother in this area)
We are still doing therapy of various kinds to treat her head tilt known as torticollis. The muscles in the neck pull on the skull and create tension in the face and head. This in turn creates deformities. The goal is to minimize this as much as possible. Again, the therapy is ongoing and will be for the foreseeable future. Also, she is still wearing her third DOC Band, as you can see. She’ll probably be in this for a least a couple of more months or so.
As far as more surgery is concerned, there will most likely be some. Whether it will be major or minor is hard to say right now. It’s all about how she grows. The doctors are watching her closely and we are taking it a day at a time.
Your continued prayers for Ivi Grace means so much to Christi and I. We have and do feel the love coming our way from you all. God bless!
